In FY08 our Partnership Development Team, led by Todd Pittman, further expanded our national partnership with the financial services company Genworth Financial by establishing ties to their sports and entertainment division. In addition to being partners in the Preserving Homeownership Initiative, Genworth now partners with NeighborWorks to bring professional athletes to neighborhoods. In August they brought former hockey star Chris Therien of the Philadelphia Flyers to help revitalize a playground in Philadelphia, working with the New Kensington Community Development Corporation. Also in August, they brought Boston Celtic Brian Scalabrine to help revitalize a playground in Dorchester, Massachusetts, working with Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation.
