The numbers of how many we have helped have doubled if not tripled, in part due to a better accounting, but also partly due to our strategic participation; 200 families in homes last year compared to 30 families before the program.

NeighborWorks Achieving Excellence in Community Development
Applying the power of revolutionary thinking and performance

Fannie Mae

What We Look For in a Candidate
As mentioned previously, approximately 50 experienced leaders who direct sophisticated community development corporations will be selected to participate in this highly innovative and challenging program.

The typical selected participant will be an executive director or their senior leader with significant authority in a community development organization* for five or more years (even if it is not at the same organization). Those selected must be thoughtful about the community development field, excited about the work that you do now, and eager to take that work to the next level through articulating, committing to, and achieving against a specific and critical challenge facing your organization.

*We define community development organizations as those organizations that focus on housing, community revitalization, or economic development.
